The Adjutant General’s Corps Museum is located in the former guardroom of Peninsula Barracks, situated at the top of the High Street in Winchester, and is a ten-minute walk from the train station. The building also houses the visitor’s information point for Winchester’s Military Museums. Although we are located in an historic building we are fully accessible. There is limited free parking available with a car pass on site. Please come to the museum office to receive a car pass to use for the duration of your visit to Winchester’s Military Museums and to receive directions on where visitor parking is located.
The museum displays the history of the antecedents and modern Corps through text, images, objects, and dioramas. There is also a dressing up box, a floor game, and quizzes for children.
