We have a variety of brand new quizzes, trails, and craft activities to debut this summer. Each one is created to ensure your child is engaging with the history of the AGC, whilst also having fun. From medal trails, uniform dress up, Addy the Lion crafts and more, there is something for everyone. All activities are free and do not need to be prebooked.
Kids in Museums – The Magic Faraway Tree Museum Adventure, 25th July – 16th August
Kids and their families are invited on a very special adventure at The AGC Museum this summer holiday. The Magic Faraway Tree is a free spotter trail from Kids in Museums and Blyton Books, celebrating Enid Blyton’s much loved children’s book series. The book has recently inspired a hit family film, which sees children embarking on an adventure to a variety of magical lands.
Each stop on the trail invites children and their families to explore some of the different worlds of the Magic Faraway Tree – from the Land of Topsy Turvy to the Land of Presents! Expect fun drawing and writing activities, plus prompts designed to spark conversations about what you’ve encountered in the museum. Complete the activity sheet to receive your Magic Faraway Tree Museum Adventure sticker!
There’s also a special drawing competition. Share your artwork on Instagram or BlueSky with the hashtag #MFTAdventure and tag @kidsinmuseums for a chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a Double National Art Pass Plus Kids courtesy of Art Fund, plus an Enid Blyton book bundle.

Hunt the Cleaning Mouse! Tuesday 28th July – Saturday 29th August
A brand new trail for Summer 2026, visit the museum and try and spot where our lovely cleaning mouse is hiding each week.
Is he in one of the display cases? Or maybe he has hidden himself away near one of our mannequins. Pick up a free trail upon entrance to the museum and tell us where you think he is hiding.
As a bonus task, our little mouse needs a name! Write your suggestion on your trail sheet and we will pick the best one.
2026 marks 80 years since the Army Educational Corps and Corps of Military Police were given their Royal prefix. There are a wide variety of objects on display, showcasing the development into Royal regiments. Read the 1946 Special Army Order and see the change of cap badges for both regiments.
Exploring the history of sport in the AGC and its antecedents. Discover the regiment’s sporting past and present, from hockey in the 19th century, to participation in the Olympic Games of the 21st century, sport has always played an important role to members of the regiment. Visit the exhibition and see key objects from our sporting past!
