Addy’s Activity Pack 

Visit us during February Half-Term (Tuesday 17th-Saturday 21st) to get a free Addy’s Activity Pack. With wordsearches, colouring sheets, crosswords and more, this is a fun way to get engaged with the history of the AGC and demonstrate your learning!

Temporary Display 1 – Currency and Global Reach

 

A new volunteer-curated showcase, displaying currency spanning across Army Pay History. Come and see an example of a 1797, King George III 1-pence coin, or a Tenpo Tsuho Japanese coin from the HMS Actaeon, dating from 1861!

Temporary Display 2 – 80th Anniversary of the Royal Prefix

 

2026 marks 80 years since the Army Educational Corps and Corps of Military Police were given their Royal prefix. There are a wide variety of objects on display, showcasing the development into Royal regiments. Read the 1946 Special Army Order and see the change of cap badges for both regiments.

2026 Temporary Exhibition – Sport in the AGC

 

Exploring the history of sport in the AGC and its antecedents. Discover the regiment’s sporting past and present, from hockey in the 19th century, to participation in the Olympic Games of the 21st century, sport has always played an important role to members of the regiment. Visit the exhibition and see key objects from our sporting past!
